OX-PICIOUS SPRING FESTIVAL 2009

This Chinese New Year, celebrate an Ox-picious Spring Festival at Sungei Wang Plaza with loads of exciting and entertaining event from 8th January to 4th February 2009. From breathtaking acrobatic performance to fun lion and dragon dance performance, exquisite arts and craft exhibition, the Ox-picious Spring Festival will be highlighted with the following events:-

Acrobatic Performance by China Beijing Youth Acrobatic Troupe
Internationally known for their energetic performance and amazing skills in acrobatic performance, the China Beijing Youth Acrobatic Troupe has twelve (12) talented acrobats specially flown in from China.  Various acrobatic performances like Skill on Rolling Rings, Group Rope Twirlings, Contortionist with lamps, Jar on Head, Playing with Straw Hats, Juggling on Plank, Bowls Balancing, The Beauty of Power and Collective Martial Art will be presented at 1pm and 7pm on 8th January 2009, 12th to 15th January and on 19th January 2009. Other shows will be held at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm from 9th to 11th January and from 16th to 18th January 2009.

China Arts & Crafts Exhibition (8th to 25th January 2009)
Discover unique artistic creations such as Silk Product, Silk Embroidery, Rainbow Calligraphy, Metal handicraft, portrait drawing, Chinese Pianting, Oil Painting, Auspicious Feng Shui, Tea and Teaware at the China Arts and Crafts Exhibition from 8th to 25th January 2009 at the Concourse Level of Sungei Wang Plaza.

God of Prosperity, Longevity & Happiness Appearance
Be blessed by the God of Prosperity, Longevity & Happiness this Chinese New Year and usher in year of the Ox with great wealth, the best of health, and happiness.  The God of Prosperity, Longevity & Happiness will be appearing ‘live’ at 2pm on 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th January 2009.

Lion and Dragon Dance Performance
New Year celebrations would not be complete without these centuries old dance performances.  Be amazed by the acrobatics steps of the lion and dragon dance at 8pm on 15th, 22nd, 23rd, 30th January and 4th February 2009.

Ang Pow Givewaways
Shopper who purchase RM50 and above in a single receipt at any store except Parkson Grand and Giant Supermarket from 8th January 2009 will be entitled for free Ang Pow packets, whilst stock last.
